Today was a busy day! We had training, then in the middle of training, a gentleman came into the office and said he needed help with an interview he had at 3 pm today. He had been trying to find a job for a long time, so we helped him as much as we could, said a prayer with him, and he left. We haven't heard how his interview went, but he has another interview on Thursday, and wants to come back into the office tomorrow morning, so hopefully, things will have gone well.
Two other people came in. We answered questions, told them about classes they could take. They signed up for the classes, worked on the internet, then left. It was really cool to help people, even if it was very minimal. So many people are out of work here. Some of their lives are so sad. It just breaks my heart! I even went into the bathroom and cried one time! If even all I do is to give someone some cheer, or remind them of the hope that is there through our Savior, then it will be time well spent.
Sister Morris and I will be going to a meeting sponsored by the Small Business Administration tomorrow morning. If we need to stay and talk with people in the afternoon about the LDS Employment Resource Center (ERC), we will do that, because we want people to know what we do, and how we can help. Otherwise, we will be back at the office in the afternoon, for some more orientation, and meetings with people at the office.
The people are really nice and have welcomed us so warmly! They had a cake, and fruit, and juices for us when we came yesterday morning. I was a little slow on the uptake, as the cake had been cut when I remembered my camera! The cake was delicious! Sorry the pictures are sideways...
It was really warm yesterday. It was around 85 degrees! I thought: Man! I am in trouble come summer! I am such a heat-a-phobic! Ah well - it will work out!
Thank you to everyone for emailing me. I had a rough time last night, everything being so new and different and away from home, but I am grateful Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers, and gives strength when asked for. What a blessing!
I am late again for going to bed. I better hit the sack. Love, Sister Ure

Judy,
I know I am terrible, but I had no idea you went on a mission! I swear it hadn't been that long since we had talked. But I guess since I had been away on maternity leave, and only working one day a week things just flew by. Anyway, I just wanted to wish you the best of luck. -Savannah
Have you gotten to bed on time yet? LOL I miss you! If you find a killer job for Chad, let us know and we will head on out! Love you!!
