Hi all!  Happy Easter!  What a glorious day!  A day to celebrate our Savior and His love for us!

We are in Fresno!  We made it!  We arrived last night and have mostly unpacked; went to Church today!  I met so many people that I don't remember them all, but what a spirit there is in the Fresno 7th Ward!  How wonderful to be among people with such deep testimonies.

My companion is awesome ~ What a pretty, tenderhearted, kind, funny person - she even can understand my sense of humor  :)  Her son thought we could share the same hair color!  What a great idea!

We live with a sister that volunteers at the Employment Resource Center - her name is Britta Smith.  She has welcomed us into her home with open arms!  We have our own rooms (the pictures below are of my room), share a bathroom, and are able to use most of the rest of the house.  Sister Britta's back yard is really pretty!

She has a couple of little puppies (okay - dogs). The smaller of the two got into the house faster than I could move to stop him! He won't be so lucky next time, now that I know how sneaky he is!  Sister Britta said that if he gets in, he usually runs into my room and relieves his bladder.  I'll be sure to keep him out ~

Today was a beautiful day here in Fresno!  I think it was about 85 degrees, beautiful blue sky ~ This is an agricultural area - so many orange trees, other fruit trees, strawberries galore - How great will that be!  Fresh fruits and veges!!

Tomorrow is our first day at the Employment Center.  It should be an adventure!  We will meet with our manager, Brother Ellsworth, and meet the rest of the staff, and find out what we will be doing.

This has all been such an adventure.  I try not to let fear grab a hold of my heart, but it sometimes does give my heart a little squeeze.  Heavenly Father is helping me, and because I know this is where He wants me to be, it makes it easier, and gives me confidence.

I trust Him.

I will be sharing some of my MTC experiences with you, but not tonight.  I'm just happy to finally get to where I can post.  I've forgotten my password, my log on, changed my password so many times - didn't have internet..  It's all good!

I think we are having a zone/mission conference - ???  Elder D. Todd Christofferson is coming to the mission this coming Saturday.  I know this is happening, but I don't know what it's called or if we are invited.  We haven't met President Gelwix yet, but we hope to soon, but after all, we've barely been here 24 hours!

I hope all is well with everyone.  I am doing well - I'm sure I'll be learning much!  I hope you all keep in touch!  Love, Sister Ure from the California Fresno Mission!

Judy, I'm so excited for you. And to have so much freedom as a missionary- your own room? Wow. I'm jealous. We love you and know you are there with a very important purpose. Missed seeing you at the doctors' the other day. Everyone else there expressed their love for you as well.

Judy, Happy to hear you are on your way, what lucky people in Fresno who will get you all to themselves. You will do great work. I will miss you at camp this year. Have a great week and shut the door quickly. Love cindy

I'm so glad you figured out this "blog thing". I thought I'd have to have one of my sons come and show me how to access it! With the changes you made, I did it all by myself!!! What a great mission president to serve under - Pres. Gelwix - the rugby coach at Highland High - and of Forever Strong fame. It will be great to keep in touch with you while you're on your mission. I love you and will miss you, but, as you say, "it's all good." Love, Linda

Hi Judy! I am glad you hung in there and got this working. I will be looking forward to hearing about your experiences!! Glad you made it safe and sound and the home you are in looks really nice. Those butterflies can get the best of us sometimes, but I KNOW you are going to be a wonderful and effective missionary. All the sisters we are working with in Rose Park are doing well right now. (knock on wood and pray daily) :)

Can't wait to hear about what you are doing. Love you lots, Elder and Sister Blundell
