Here are some pictures ~

These first pictures are of the missionary mall at our 4 Zone Christmas Conference.  We helped collect some of the clothes.  The Elders and Sisters can look through everything to see if there is anything they might need.  I actually found a couple of flat irons for 50 cents each!

This is the Bishop's Store House Christmas dinner.  No - the store house didn't pay for it, everyone
brought things.  It was wonderful

There was an ugly Christmas sweater contest.  Who are the judges?  Why, my 2nd cousins!

Who do you think won?

The Employment Center staff sang Christmas carols at this VA Living Center.  It was great!

This is Sister Gelwix and me at the Temple for a session.  It's chilly, chilly!

Sister Morris has her grandpa's headstone ready to be put at his gravesite.

This is Becky and me at the Hmong New Year at the Fairgrounds.

The sticky purple rice, grilled chicken and pho soup at the Hmong New Year.

This is Sister Morris and Brother Burdick in the back, and Brother Tanner and Mindy Gillespie, our new manager, in the front, today, at the office. I'm not sure what they were looking at.

This isn't the best picture of Natalie - she is a temporary worker at the employment center.
She's a sweetheart, and really pretty!

These next few pictures are of the Pow-wow Becky invited us to.  I LOVE the costumes!  It was really cool having the drums beating and seeing the dancing.  We wanted to see more, but we ran out of time.

This person is not as short as he looks.  The feathers are cool ~

The head dress has raven feathers; the middle of the back are Red-tailed Hawk feathers; the outer rim are eagle feathers.
Becky said sometimes if a feather falls on the ground, the people will dance to purify the feather before they pick it up.

These are some of the dancers.  There were alot!

This is Elder Lowman.  He thought his finger was broken/dislocated, and tried to go to Urgent Care, but they arrived 14 minutes too late.  I asked our friend, Shannon Morton, if she, and the people's house she was at could look at it for him.  The people, and Shannon, are RN's and B/S Nurses.  It appears to be just jammed, so it was splinted, and we shall see.  Poor Elder!  He was playing dodgeball.  OWIE!  His companion and the member that brought them are in the room - honest!
oh ~ if I didn't say so before, I have been asked to be the Mission Medical Coordinator.  So - I coordinated a 'repair'!

From left to right:  Brother Nicholsen, Sister Nicholsen, Shannon Morton, me, Sister Morris!  We all had a toast, but didn't all have a picture together!

We then came home and had a few people over to watch a movie, visit, and watch "the ball drop"; with banging pans afterwards.  Happy New Year to one and all!  May we all feel our Father's and Savior's love, and share it more abundantly starting today.  I appreciate all of the gifts and cards sent to me.  I feel so well loved!  I love you all too!  Sister Ure
